Traditionally Crafted
Rose Cottage Garden Buildings are constructed using a combination of modern high speed machinery and traditional time served joinery skills, the result of which is a classic garden building constructed to a very high standard of finish.
Materials are sought from only renewable sources; we recognise the need to ensure that all our suppliers follow the ethic. Earth resources should not be wasted and use only timber from renewable sources.
Traditional methods of jointing are used in the construction.
Tanalised Timber
Our timber is pre cut then tanalised to give 20 years protection against rot, then given a relevant air drying period to minimise future movement of timber.
Rose Cottage Garden Buildings’ doors and windows having Morticed and Tenoned joints, waterproof adhesive and rustproof fastenings as standard.
Rebated frames, moulded profiles and beaded glazing combine to give a craftsman built and traditionally finished garden building.
Your Garden Base Requirements
The base for your garden building must be flat, square and level. If the base is not adequate
Rose Cottage will neatly stack your building in a suitable place and return to erect when the base is properly laid, a charge may be made for this service; full payment for the garden building will be required upon delivery.
We can arrange for a properly laid base at a separate cost, please ask for details.
Local Authority Approval
Generally planning permission is not necessary for garden buildings such as sheds and summerhouses; however, it is your responsibility to check with your local Authority whether permission is required. A simple telephone call will usually determine this.
